Zine Swap & Stack

Hello again. Two things; Zine Swap, and Stack.

We'll start with Zine Swap. The aim of this project is to build a resource through which people can swap their zines. Name says it all really. So say you send in the minimum three copies, two for their archives, at least one to swap, you'd get one zine of someone elses back! This happens 4 times a year, and it's pretty amazing.

The guys behind this hope that this archive will become a comprehensive record of contemporary self-publishing, existing as both an online catalogue and regular exhibitions. And also that the archive will become a marker of what motivates people to create, to publish and share.
It would be great to have the archive exhibited in Berwick, or the North East.

Secondly, Stack. Amazing idea number 2. Subscribe and every month they'll send you out an amazing, intelligent, beautifully designed and created independent English language magazine you otherwise probably wouldn't of discovered. See; Wire, Port, Little White Lies, The Ride Journal, Oh Comely, IdN, eye, Fire & Knives, PoCa, Anorak and so on.....

  3. Good point folks, i suspect Zineswap will use the exhibitions to make the money needed to keep afloat.

And i'll be interested to see the cost of the magazines i get in relation to the price i paid for my sub when i've got my 12 through Stack!
